Coed Varsity Bowling · Bowling Stays Hot…Upsets Undefeated Lipscomb


The Boys Bowling team completed the regular season today at the Smyrna Bowling Center.  The Eagles faced a Lipscomb Boys team who had run the table on all the Region teams they faced this season.  For the Eagles…it turned out to be the “Perfect Storm”.  The Eagles bowled 1197 in the first game.  Led by a record number of 200+ games.  Mark Woody 227, Kenton Gentry 220, Casey Vetatoe 215, and Daniel Dryden’s 214 gave the Eagles a 7-1 lead and a 164 pin lead.  Kenton’s 245 in the second game kept the pressure on and the Eagles extended the pin count 191 and a 12-4 lead.  In the 3rd game Mark bowled a 200 and Daniel scored a game high of 249 and the Eagles gained a 19-8 victory in their final game of the regular season.  The Eagles got great production from Kenton Gentry (644 series), Daniel Dryden (623 series) and Mark Woody (607 series)The win brought the Eagles to 11-1 and left the door open for the Eagles to either share the Region Title or finish as the Region Runner-up.  Congratulations Eagles!  The Best Is Yet To Come!!!  The Eagles will wait for the Region Tournament which takes place the week after Thanksgiving.
The Girls Bowling teams faced a tough Lipscomb team had only one lost this season.  The Lady Eagles were beaten 7 – 20.  The lady Eagles were led by Leilani Waach who bowled team high 164 and also had the high series of 424.  Jenna Roberts (334) and Cristy Del Rio (299) also contributed to the cause.  The Lady Eagles will host an opening round Regional Tournament match on Monday or Tuesday after the Thanksgiving holidays.
