Coed Varsity Bowling · Twice as Nice…

Double Wins are Twice as Nice!
For the 2nd time in 3 matches the Eagles and Lady Eagles both get a “W” in their bowling matches at the Smyrna Bowling Center.  The Lady Eagles faced off against St. Cecilia who played one person down.  Behind strong first games go Jenna Roberts 134 and Loren Rainey 138 the Lady Eagles jumped to a 6-2 lead.  In the 2nd game Leilani Waack’s 147 and Cristy Del Rio’s 113 earned the Lady Eagles a 11.5 – 5.5 lead.  The Lady Eagles held on to claim a 19.5 – 7.5 win and improved their record to 2-4.  Leilani rolled the high series 356  and high game of 147.  Ana Delarosa and Ginny Crawford turned in above their average games and managed averages of 83 and 72 respectively.
For the Eagles for the 6th time in a row the win was decided only after 2 games.  The Eagles were led by Mark Woody 554, Daniel Dryden 540, and Kenton Gentry 515.  Daniel Dryden’s 225 was the only 200+ game for the team.  With the win the Eagles go to 8-0 and face Friendship Christian on Thursday which could be for the Region Championship.  Friendship is also undefeated and will look for revenge as the Eagles eliminated Friendship from making the State Tournament last year.  Thursday’s match will be at Pro-Bowl West in Lebanon, TN at 3:45.
