Coed Varsity Bowling · Lady Eagles pick up win #1…

The Lady Eagles faced Nashville Christian today with both teams looking for their first win of the season. After falling behind 3-5 in the first game the Lady Eagles bowled themselves back into the lead behind the strong game of Leilani Waack (168) to take a 77 pin lead.  With victory within it’s grasp, Jenna Roberts 136, Rachel Batson 127, and Cristy Del Rio 116, closed out Nashville Christians hopes for a comeback and gave the Lady Eagles their first victory of the season 17-10.  Leilani’s 168 was the high game of the match and for the season and she and Rachel bowled identical high series of 363 for top honors.  Great job Lady Eagles!
On the boys side the coaches allowed our top bowlers to flex their muscles a little and allowed them to bowl at their home alley to help them boost their averages with hopes to give the bowlers a chance to get in the individual tournament at the end of the season.  The Eagle bowlers responded with their best team score in a couple of seasons.  The 3166 fell just 34 pins short of the coaches challenge at the beginning of the season.  Mark Woody had the high game of the day with a 204 but there would be 4 other scores above 200.  Several bowlers had a high series, Daniel Dryden 559, Mark Woody 558, Kenton Gentry’s and Casey Vetatoe 545 helped lead the Eagles to a 25-2 victory.
On Thursday both teams face Goodpasture one of the new faces to the Region this year.  The match will be played at the Donelson Plaza lanes.  Come and take a look on Thursday!  Go Eagles!
