Coed Varsity Bowling · Big Win for the Boys…

Playing in its 2nd match in 2 days the Eagles Bowling team faced Donelson Christian Academy (DCA) last year’s Region runner-up in its first home match of the season at the Smyrna Bowling Center.  The match today would provide the Eagles a chance to earn a little respect from perennial power DCA if it could earn the victory.
In the Eagle first game the team knocked down 988 pins which earned the team a 5-3 lead after the first game.  In the second game DCA turned the tables on the Eagles and bowled 104 pins better earning them a 10-6 lead with a 74 pin differential.
In the final game the Eagles rallied behind Jakub Szostak’s 203 and Daniel Dryden’s 231 to post a 19 pin victory and win the match 15-12.
For the day Daniel Dryden had a series of 616, Mark Woody 530, Kenton Gentry 523.  Several Eagles crested the 200 mark today.  Daniel 231, Jakub 203, and Mark Woody 200.  The Eagles posted a team total of 3005 pins for their high for this early in the season.
The Eagles will play their 3rd match of the week hosting Franklin Road Academy on Thursday at the Smyrna Bowling Center.
Today we earned a little respect…Go Eagles!
